Line Training (Safety Buddy)

Once you’re certified, the most important thing is to keep diving. Skills fade fast — equalisation, relaxation, depth tolerance, the calm at the bottom. The fix is regular practice on a line with a competent buddy at the surface watching every dive.

Line Training is exactly that. You, the line, and an instructor or experienced freediver whose only job is to keep you safe. No course, no certification — just supervised dives so you can drill what you came here to drill.

What you get

• A rigged training line in calm water (around Gili Air, or Gili Meno depending on conditions)
• A surface buddy whose only job is to count, watch your turn-around, and meet you on the ascent
• Two to three hours in the water — however many dives you make in that window
• Brief surface debrief on what we saw (rhythm, breathing, exit moves)

Who this is for

You hold an SSI Level 1 (or equivalent — AIDA 2, PADI Freediver, Apnea Academy) and you want repetitions in real depth without paying for a full coaching session. You know what you’re doing, you just need a safe environment to do it in.
