Dive sites — same for all three
The 20+ reef and wreck sites sit in the water between the three islands. Hans Reef, Air Slope, Shark Point, Sunset Point, Turtle Heaven, Manta Point, Mirko's Reef, Frogfish Point. Whichever island you base from, the boat ride to any specific site is broadly similar.
Our recommendation
If diving is the main goal and you also want some social life without forced parties — Gili Air is the right balance. If you want to disappear as a couple and see no one — Gili Meno. If you're 22 with a backpack and want to go out every night — Gili Trawangan.
